My kind of november : Garlic from a tube

NOVEMBER

November was a busy month on the plot With tidying up and preparing the plot for over the winter. I cut back the redcurrants and bushes and got a fire going. I also got the garlic planted. I broke up the heads to separate the individual cloves. Then I made holes and popped in cloves. As long as they don’t get waterlogged, they will survive a cold winter. The longer they are in the ground the bigger the bulbs should be. I had to laugh when talking to Joan when she said “my garlic comes from a tube”. I still think you can’t beat growing your own.
