DIY Hot Water Redneck System, Life in the Bush, Science, Project, Fun....It Bloody Works! African Shower in the BaoBabs

Here are some shots of my make-shift hot water system. Took a few goes but now works superbly and you can literally shower for an hour and not loose a degree of heat. There's not much to it , cold feeds into the bottom, exits the top (heat rises), add a riser pipe thereafter so you're not literally arming a bomb when the hot valve is turned closed. It's hilarious seeing huge bursts of steam plume out of the riser pipe when there's too much heat in the fire box. Also, the water heats very quickly (in about 20mins) from a very modest and efficient fire.
Its an absolute joy to use and I highly recommend this system to anyone homesteading or self reliant. Check it out....
