How We Are Keeping The Frost Off Our Beds
In the past few days Jack Frost has been coming through at night. I put quite a few seeds of cool weather crops in the ground last week but had a plan just in case the temperatures wanted to dip back below freezing.
Made these low tunnels out of PVC pipe, clear plastic and clamps. I use rebar in the ground for the PVC to hold on to wrapped it in the plastic and clamped it down. These beds have lettuce and carrots in them.
For these beds I just rolled out some clear plastic over the beds and held it down with some rocks so the wind doesn't blow it away. The ground temperature is above freezing so the plastic will help keep the beds from losing its heat and keep the frost off. Looking at the extended weather forecast as long as we can get through Friday we should be in the clear.

I made a very similar low tunnel. Unfortunately, I need to redo it since it lasted 1 day before the wind ripped the plastic off.
Maybe just laying plastic on the bed will work.
It's been working for me so far. I'm sure when the Sprouts get a little bit bigger they won't like it but by that time hopefully it'll be warm enough where I won't need the plastic.
