Backyard homestead garden update
Veggies are doing well even with the late start to the season. Chickens dug up all my plants that we started from seeds. We had to start over with seedlings.
Yellow squash and cucumbers looking good!
Kale and tomatoes going strong.
Trying something new this year. Growing sunflowers from seed to supplement the laying hens through the winter.
Great post !!!

Thanks! You got it!
nice my friend @hollywoodsfarm you got a great garden there greetings from Aruba
Thank you. Its getting there. Greetings from Pennsylvania.
I always stop when I see a gardening update post. It's amazing sometimes because we live in different zones, or even countries, to see how much more advanced another gardener's bounty is growing.
I feel the same way. We can all learn from each other too.
Your squash and cucumber are everything I hoped mine would have been this season.
Thanks. This is the best year I have had for cucumbers. I have always had trouble in the past. I believe my soil is finally coming around.
I don't know if it was my soil, enough water or just something else. But, I am hoping that I do better next season. Not ready to give up on growing them.
Dont give up. I have rabbits and chickens so I have been using their fertilizer as well as mulch and compost. My soil was mostly clay. Really coming around. I also have watered them more this year then past years.
The garden looks great! you are doing a lot in a small space, keep up the good work.....
Thank you. Just taking small steps. My goal is to get to where you are one day.
You will get there, never give up!
