Vindicator meets Truffle

We have loan of this miniature Hereford for our miniature Jersey.

Truffle is a 19 month old miniature Jersey.

Vindicator is a 15 month old miniature Hereford bull.

We picked him up on Friday to mate with our Jersey. She was last in heat on January 17, so we probably just missed her cycle. She goes into heat every 17-21 days for 24 hours, so he will probably be with us for 3-4 weeks. I will keep you posted on their progress.

Vindicator was named after the bull in the movie The Rare Breed, with Jimmy Stewart and Maureen O’Hara. If you like westerns, this is a good one. It is loosely based on a true story.
