The average age of a domestic turkey is 26 months from its hatching to the freezer. The average age of a wild turkey is 3-4 years. I butchers ours at about 8-10 months.

    When do the eggs hatch? All year around?

      They will start laying mid May and start brooding their eggs some time in June. They are usually done laying in August.
