Life On A Farm - Morning & Evening Chores - Our Daily Homestead Routine

If you ever wanted to know what life is like on a homestead or a family farm...then come along with us as we do the morning & the evening farm chores on the family farm / homestead.

This is the typical day here on our homestead. Get up, grab some coffee, & then head out on the farm & get all our animals & livestock fed & watered..the chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, goats, & pigs. Also check the pig fencing, move the broiler chickens, & also check the health & well being of all our animals here on the farm.

Each day may seem mundane, but this is not true from the eyes of someone who enjoys & is passionate about what they do, & we are truly passionate about this homestead life, the simple life, the life we have here on our small family farm.

Each day is truly unique, & you really never know what the homestead will throw at you. We may have new chicks hatching, or baby piglets may be born, or peaches just wants a belly rub. Or we may have a fox lurking around or a hawk eyeing the property...you just never know, but all you can do is take it in stride, and go with the flow, & enjoy what this smile life brings you.

After we get all the feeding & watering done that morning, we let the free range chickens, ducks & geese out of the coop, & then go about or day, whatever that may be.

Then in the evening time, we kinda do the farm chores as we did that morning, but typically we do not have to feed anyone, but just the goats. Mostly we are just filling up waterers, & making sure everyone is ok. Then we gather eggs, and put up all the free range chickens & ducks & geese, then lastly, we will put up the broiler chickens.
