If you guys know me well, you've heard my tale of what it takes for a city boy like me get a homestead going for my family and I'm proud to say things are closer than ever.
Now is the time for me to make sure all the ideas and theories I have on paper for my new land can be put into practical effect. The chance of wasting time and money in these situation makes for a big risk, so planning is everything if you want to succeed.
One of the best ways to gain all of the proper knowledge and confidence you need to make a big change in your life like this is to find good hearted people who have been there and done that so you can make sure you are not making any mistakes,, or as many at least. In the spirit of making that I would like to introduce you to (if you already haven't met him that is ;) some one I trust very much.
@jackdub is one of Steemit's foremost experts on all things off grid as well as alternative energy and host of Power Hour on GHS Collective.
Tonight at 7 pm EST I'll be joining him there to discuss the merits of solar vs hydro electric power and the best way to harness the energy being made. This is a great field of study and has such a cool way of staying new and current,,, so there are always fun things to learn and improve on.
