Recipe Day: Kefir Cheese Flavor Recipes
I started making kefir cheese because I really did not like the taste of kefir drink. I went through various cookbooks looking for recipes for dips, sour cream, cream cheese, or other appetizer things. These are some of the ones I adapted. They are for a 1 quart, drained, amount of cheese, roughly 2 cups.
Spicy:
1½ tbsp. apple cider vinegar
¼ tsp. celery salt
Pinch chili powder
1½ tsp. horseradish
¾ tsp. prepared mustard
Pinch paprika
Pepper
6 sm. cloves garlic, pressed
Dill:
3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
Salt
1 tbsp. dill weed
Pepper
Parmesan:
1 clove garlic, pressed
Lemon juice
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
Salt
Cole De Luxe:
1 tbsp. lemon juice
½ tsp. celery seed
Salt
Slivered almonds
Pepper
Garlic:
½ tsp. celery salt
2-3 cloves garlic, pressed
1 tbsp. snipped chives
2 tbsp. Parmesan
3 pinches paprika
Cream Spreads:
1 or more of:
1 tsp. chopped onion
1 tsp. chopped chives
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. chopped celery
3 tbsp. chopped bacon
Salt
Pepper
¼ cup slivered almonds
Paprika

Kefir is one of my newer skills and I make a dill or chive cream cheese from it now- it is THE BEST!
