It’s another cold rainy day here on the farm in New England.
It’s rained so much this autumn we’ve not been able to get the leaves up.
My husband noticed the swamp had backed up into a lake, so he went out in the rain to clear the culvert. It started rushing through but he said it will plug up again and he’ll have to clear it several times during the day.
In the meantime, the unrepaired part of the driveway has enormous deep puddles. The farther away one in the above photo is approaching 12” deep.
But the woodstove is going and it’s nice and warm inside.
Hooray for wood stoves!
The best, warmest heat there is!
