Rotating chickens' area is important; which is why I think the chicken "tractors' are becoming more popular.

When we had chickens we had a permanent coop... when we tore it down the soil was so dark and rich. Wish we had the tractor to move at the time.

Its true! Chicken tractors can be great. In our area though, it is steep and rocky. Moving chicken houses would be crazy!!! So we go for rotated yards.

Makes sense... I live in the land of flat lands... only mountains we see here in Michigan are WAY north... over the bridge!
