Preparing for winter post #2 - dried beetroot

In last post i mention how to freeze dill and in this i want to talk about beetroot.

We will dry beetroot. Why dry? because with drying 98% vitamins will remain and our family love to use beetroot in soups (ukrainian borscht mainly, very delicious soup google it)

So how to make dried beetroot for winter?

First take beetroots and rinse it and then put in bowl with cold water for 1.5-2 hours.
Second take beetroot and put into pan and boil it for 20-30 minutes.
After cooking put back to cold water our beetroots for 15-20 minutes and wait.
Now take beetroots remove skin and cut it into small pieces and dry.
If you got sun you can dry outdoor, but also its okay to dry at home in balcone.
All process take 3-6 days .
