This is it!! the beginning of a dream part 1.

So, to follow up our introduceyourself post we start our adventure. The Lord lead us to southern Missouri, and we jumped. We jumped straight into an adventure. There was life happening around every corner. We Started our time here in Missouri homeless. We had what sounded like a wonderful deal on some great property, that turned into a terrible deal and a really not good property. That was our first dose of reality. We were searching high and low for something. We looked at rental properties in town, and land outside of town, and were finding nothing. We were spending time at a local park thumbing through a real estate ad that we had just gotten at the grocery store. There it was, a two line black and white ad at the bottom of a page. It was a listing for a small property out of town. It may be small, but it had electric and a well.

We jumped at the deal. We made an offer and got immediate occupancy and closed a week later. From that point on we were Missouri land owners. Our dream was getting some feet. It was about to happen. First things first, we had to clean it up. The Property was like most properties that are fairly out of town and abandoned. There was no shortage of brush, limbs, and dead trees that needed cleaned up..including the one that had fallen through the roof of the little cabin that was there. Some days I felt like Paul Bunyan , but most days I felt like Babe the blue ox. Days seemed to fly by. Cutting, dragging, piling, cutting, dragging, piling. We set up a small campsite with a fire ring where we cooked and pretty much lived. We spent 2 months sleeping in our car while we built the house....Stay tuned for more to come.
