Great teamwork : a visit from @borrowedearth
Yesterday was a great day! After a couple of months of staring at the large tree in my driveway, it was time....
We did some major damage to the mighty red oak. It was alot of fun, and a great reminder of how much we can get done when we work together.
The last couple of weeks Stacie D (@freedomtowrite) has kept me pretty reeled in, due to shoulder issues. Before my light duty started I was in the middle of a large firewood order, that was now put on hold. So with orders backed up and a bum shoulder, I thought something cool we could do would be to team fill the orders! @borrowedearth doesn't live too far away, and also shares a love for cutting wood. While they were visiting one day I pitched the idea to them and BOOM it started. They showed up ready to bang.
The goal was to section up the 20+ foot red oak log, split it, load it, and deliver it. All of this sounds straight forward, but the fog made it feel pretty gross. Not to mention the visiting, coffee drinking and laughing. 🙃
With saws in hand we hit that log at both ends!
It was alot of fun. While there was work to be done, selfies had to happen haha 🙃

It was a great day! We got an order filled!

Slept like a baby! Life is good. We try to be as independant as possible, and do whatever it takes.
