Boots powered by STEEM....our first life changing step
Today is a big day for @freedompoint and @freedomtowrite, we are buying me new boots....powered by STEEM!!! I know I have mentioned in other posts that we just cannot believe that our online reality is meeting our offline reality and creating another reality. We feel fortunate that God is aligning us with a great opportunity through Steemit and a great community of homesteaders. Well, this is happening. I haven't bought boots in over 5 years, mostly due to the fact that they have lasted, and cost. Being a larger man I don't buy really inexpensive boots because I wear them out really quickly. I invest in higher quality boots. Something that will take my weight better and hold up to hard work.
Today we headed to a local supply store in search of some boots. There is a nice store that has amazing boots near where we grocery shop...score...double purposed trip! I have been oogling these boots for four years now. Georgia low heel loggers. Not everywhere carries Georgia boots. They were bought by Rocky boots years ago, and now mostly make hikers. Some stores still carry a Georgia work boot though. I recommend them.
Once I got these beauties picked out I nearly couldn't handle it. It's been a long time coming.
Like anyone else would naturally due when trying on manly work boots....act like they are playing basketball and run around!
It became official! Receipt in hand I was about to walk out into the world with a box of opportunity under my arm.
Who am I kidding, I didn't even make it outside!
The fit is perfect. The potential is endless. I look forwars to all kf the Steemit content that may be created wearing these guys!
Before we go I would like to invite you to join me in a moment of silence for my now fallen friends. They were by my side through moving and starting our homestead and building our home. Now they are full of holes and held together with 550 cord. The viking burial will be soon.

Thank you! We talk about what we would do if Steemit continued to do well. It usually comes back to infrastructure. Things to keep life moving forward even if all online activity stopped.

I know the importance of a good boot because Ive had plenty of subpar boots. I have small feet so its especially hard to find ones that fit my feet! And once I find some that are really comfortable and rugged, they stop making them! sheesh! congrats on the new boots and even more congratulations on your work on here providing them for you!
Yeah! I have some trouble because mine are more narrow. Once I found Georgia...game over!
ill have to check them out. I used to swear by Caterpillar boots but they stopped making them!
