What is Sotall

You have probably heard people talk about Survival of the Fittest. To me that is a very short sighted and selfish way of looking at life. Our society tends to base our worth as human beings on either how much money you have or how beautiful the world considers you. I think that is BULL, to put it nicely, lol.

Our value may not fit the idea of the rich and famous, but for me, the shear fact that we were all created by the same Creator, gives us all value that the most obnoxious person in the world cannot take away from us. (Unless we allow them to)

So, Sotall is about Survival Of The - ALL. Everyone has an equal right to live, love, find happiness, have food, water, medical care, all the basic requirements to survive in our world. Once the basic needs of all have been met, then those that think money will buy them happiness are free to go for it, as long as they do not hurt others in the process.

Sotall is about helping others have the necessities of life, whether those in power think they deserve them or not.

Knowledge IS Power

Our world has become so complicated, it is impossible for any one person to have all the answers to every problem that could possibly arise. Add in the fact that there are plenty of people who want to make sure you do not have access to the knowledge you need to become successful and it is no wonder 1% of the population owns over 50% of the world.

Sotall is about sharing knowledge. We have a website where we curate the posts of people who are teaching others how to survive. In exchange for your howto posts, we give you an upvote, plus some of our members will upvote you too if they find your information useful. Plus, people will have access to your information, long after it is past the 7 day window on Steemit.

How Can You Help?

We are a homesteading/survival oriented community. We only accept posts that help our community members to improve their skills in areas that will help them survive no matter what happens in the world in the future. Homesteading, farming, raising animals, building tools and buildings, gardening, clean water, herbal medicine and such, are all welcome if your post shows people how to do or avoid "something".

Your posts also need to be more about HOWTO rather than simply, "look what I did". There is a place for those type posts on Steemit, but they just don't fit what we are trying to accomplish.

Your posts also need to give credit to whomever or whatever website deserves to be given credit. This include for images too. We try to follow the laws in that regard, plus it is just the common human decency thing to do if you are going to use someone else's information.

How Do I Submit My Posts?

There are 4 ways.

1 - Submit them via our submission form.

2 - Send them directly to me at [email protected]

3 - Add them in the comment section of our latest daily update posts.

4 - Use sotall as one of your tags in your post.

Submitted items are added first!

I am only one person and I am limited in the amount of time I have to search out new posts each day. I am NOT a bot. Each post is verified by me, then added by hand to both the website and our daily update. I add submitted posts first. If I have less than 5 submitted posts, then I will seek out extras, so depending on me to find your post is NOT a good idea.

We also give away free seeds!

Check our website for a list of what is available and order directly from that page.

We also donate to charities that are using to power of Steemit to help causes that fit in our general categories. We DO NOT simply buy upvotes. There has to be a "people helping people" aspect to it for us to donate.

Help us Help Others

Sotall is not yet 3 weeks old. I have been a member since August and I took out only a little SBD when the price was at its highest. I have spent a little SBD as donations to help causes that fit in with what we are trying to accomplish and/or help our members. I also occasionally spend a little SBD to turn it into Steem to allow me to upvote more. I HAVE not take out enough to cover the out of pocket costs of buying and shipping seeds to everyone.

You can look at my wallet and see all of this for yourself. My point in saying this is I am not doing this to get rich. At some point I do hope I can take some funds for myself as I have almost no income.

You can help us reach our goals faster by simply upvoting, resteeming and/or following. All the dreams we seek to make come true are in our reach because of the fabulous system of Steemit.
