Wow man, that rooster, frightening!! lol that's terrible! I'm sorry you two had to deal with that.
It is true, death is more of a part of it than life, I think that's something that should be told to people with the homestead glint in their eyes before they get started. It's definitely not something that crosses the mind when one is stoked about homesteading!
Yeah! Like homesteading boot camp... Day 1: a third are sick, a third go missing, a third die.
