Some of my fondest memories from my childhood are of a local beekeeper, Ormond Aebi. I miss him a lot. God rest his soul. My kids are now pestering me to keep bees at our home. I'm seriously considering it.
BTW: Honey in the comb isn't technically "pure." It's raw and unfiltered, but to have a "pure" honey, it needs to be filtered. You will find some pollen in unfiltered honey, but that is supposedly what is good for those with pollen allergies. I prefer unfiltered. And I recently found out that honeycomb is good crushed and spread on toast.
