The Small Weak Rose That Stood Her Ground.
I'm working on a much more meaningful post, but today has been super busy. As it is, I'm laying in bed working on this simple post on my phone.
The Garden Gate Rose Bush
Once upon a time there was a small weakling of a rose bush in a small pot next to the garden gate. As the garden plans changed that pot needed to move. Well, that little weak rose was not leaving without a fight. She put a little piece of root down through the drain hole and tried to hold her ground. The battle was short. That gardener was to powerful and the pot was snatched up and so the rose plant was moved.
The Summer turned to Autumn, which soon gave way to Winter. The determination of that Rose plant was left behind in that spot in a little bit of root that broke off when the pot was moved. The soul of the weak plant grew strong over the seasons! By Spring she was ready to face the world and claim her ground. Up from that root came a tiny rose plant.
The hustle and bustle of the gardening season left that tiny plant mostly unnoticed until one day she showed her inner beauty in the form of a small pink rose.
This rose caught the attention of the gardener and he smiled.
From that day forward she was rewarded with plenty of room and showers of water. To this day she sits proudly by the entrance of the garden to welcome the gardener as he tends the other plants.
True story. Here she is full and beautiful!

On FB someone suggested that I tweak it a bit to make a kid's book. What do you think?
I like it as is, it reaches a wider audience not just kids.
Why would you need to tweak it?
Maybe add a moral at the end about adversity and against all odds. I would leave scripture out though. It’s hard to find books with good morals and value with no scripture. It’s like publishers think you have to be religious in order to be a good person.
Good post, spring time is right to plant flowers in pots, where I only have two seasons, summer and rainy season, so the rainy season is a good time to plant flowers in pots

It turned into a beautiful rose bush.
I have heard of people doing this intentionally with comfrey. Putting it in a pot and then moving it from place to place. In each spot it puts down roots that turn into a new plant!

No, but I love it. When I lived in Colombia I saw it everywhere, the weather is perfect for it.
