The Aztec Spur Throated Grasshopper Nymph
A Nymph is just a younger stage of an insect. This immature Aztec Spur Throated grasshopper is very beautiful. I found this little guy in my garden on some Basil.
Apparently these are spotted often in my part of South Texas. This image of the less colorful adult grasshopper was taken in Austin, TX. (Photo not mine. Source link below)

It is beautiful to see the development of living beings and to capture them in a photographic image. The close shots look impeccable. Beautiful photos.
Looks a little different to what we have in Australia but mostly the pattern. Ours is a brown colour with a slight pattern but nothing as cool as that, well not what I have seen anyway.
That sure is a very pretty grasshopper!
Excellent coloring but you would think that with that much they would not blend in and become a target for something that might want to eat it!
