MASSIVE FERAL SWARM RESCUE. The Video!

Hey everyone, I have been trying to film these honey bee rescue missions for ages, it's just about impossible as I have thick gloves on and can't push any buttons coupled with the fact the bees are normally in places hard to access, let alone film.

Last night we got lucky. This was a swarm in a big box at an Equestrian centre, the removal was relatively easy with the added bonus I was able to place a camera down and film the action. This swarm was very large so we had to handle them with care (naturally we always do).

We removed comb by comb whilst sucking the bees out into our bee box later to be hived. We then installed their feral combs into their new hive.

I would highly recommend having a watch albeit I been no film maker, (hence very raw and uncut) this is very interesting to see indeed and footage rather rare too.

This is always a 'feel good rescue' as these bees like most of our rescue bees are destined to be exterminated, we go there remove, relocate and re-hive, happy bees, happy environment, happiness all round ;)

Be sure to stay tuned for more of my epic bee-keeping adventures.

Cheer$;)

Super cool! So, at what point in that process do they realize what's going on and try to kill you?
