A few days ago our camera ran off...

Possibly in search of the keltec. Inquiries have been made and search parties assembled, but so far it appears it has done a heroic job of covering its tracks.

If you happen to see it, any information leading to its whereabouts would be greatly appreciated. It's old, blue and we fear the worst...

You may or may not have noticed that not only have the last few posts shown a supreme lack of personal photos, but that there haven't been any images of our homestead as of yet.

Rest assured it does exist.

All fun aside this kind of thing happens a lot on the homestead. At least in the beginning stages.. though as we're 2 years in and the situation has failed to improve, these beginning stages have seemed to last an age. That or it's a by-product of our 'grab life by the horns' attitude. Where in we attack not only multiple projects at once, but do so with a single-minded fervor that leaves many things unintentionally at the waste-side.

This isn't the first time this particular camera has wandered off. Like an adventurous child, it's been known to pack its things and hit the road with a thumb out to passing cars. Only to be back again in time for supper. Thank goodness it's water proof. We spend 80% of our time outside and our land it probably 80% wooded and 100% un-mown as per time of this writing. So chances are high its swimming in weeds or buried in leaves biding its time as to jump out unexpectedly only after the very last vestiges of hope have finally deserted us.

We are not 100% off-grid, but we are closer than our city-dwelling counter parts. Our plugs have electricity and our sinks have running water. We have cell phones, but not smart phones. Our internet is courtesy born from the ever giving heart of one of our neighbors and is only accessible on our property from the cab of our truck. We have television, but no connection to a service provider. Instead we sit on a horde of dvds and vhs tapes.

I include this information in the hopes a little slack will be given. We are not molded for this new age of technology,

but are trying to adapt so far as our principles will allow. Our blogs are formed in the old fashion way from the minute amount of space between pen and paper, where creativity breeds freely. I'm sure this case will be solved soon and our camera found. Until then, we appreciate your patience.
