Wide Open Spaces
Today we'll be letting the Chickens into the barn and access to the outdoors. We started by hanging up an additional feeder, covering up the dust bath, and opening up this hatch!
Once we opened up their ramp to freedom you can see they were a little nervous. As they are just six weeks old today this was to be expected. Still their curiosity got the best of them and slowly but surely they made their way onto the ramp.
Once Candy let herself into the barn they started to feel more comfortable and began exploring the straw and the bounty hidden within.
Candy keeps a motherly watch over her girls!
Sometimes a helping hand is all that's needed to see the light!
It wasn't long before they began scratching looking for bugs and other goodies.
It wasn't until the following day that they actually ventured outside. It won't be long before we'll be trying to get them back in after dark!
Brother, how are you? How is the harvest going? wow the girls grew up fast and I see that Candu took care of them as if they were his that wonderful to see the video where you prepare the new home of the girls to everything they put a lot of heart brother you are blessed you have a very nice home
I send you many blessings and your family
Thank you Brother. I am happy to see you are still able to get online, hopefully it'll stay that way so you have access to news and steemit!
That's so exciting, when they begin to explore the great outdoors! Candy sure is a great stepmother for the chicks lol. I must have started following you after the fact but am curious...does Candy sleep in the barn with the chickens or does she sleep inside the house?
Candy is spoiled rotten and sleeps in between us, although she would be happy to sleep in the barn with the chicks. In exchange for being so spoiled she has an amazing command of the English language (often we spell things to avoid her understanding) and does whatever we ask of her. Most who've met her are very surprised how responsive she is when we speak to her.
she's a lovely lady xo
That's wonderful! I have a dachshund that sleeps inside with me but spends the day outside with my chickens while I'm at work. My brother lives next door and she goes over there to hang out in his shop sometimes, thereby abandoning her post lol. I think Candy is in perfect partnership with you all :D
Friend, how are you? the new girls are very big their curiosity took them to their new home that you prepared them Candy seems your mom and gives them more confidence to explore their new home, Candy is very smart and I see how your wife gives love and the new girls too I'm sure they'll be very happy in that place
You do a great job on your farm and I admire you for how you carry everything yourselves with the help of Candy who is a wonderful dog that is part of the family
Greetings to Candy and your wife I am still grateful for the support you give me
Thank you very much. Your support is what keeps us going!
Hello Friend how are you? I like to know that these chicken are bigger, they look bigger, little by little, things are going well and you see that everything happens, the important thing is that they have a great helper and it is Candy I love the happiness that she transmits, she repeated the video about two times to see her how she cares for chickens @brimax
Candy has always loved our chickens. When our last flock was being transported for their final processing she was really upset.
Hello how are you? in the video I see that they are fine, seeing the chickens already that size gives me joy because when they are small the mortality rate is high. Here these animals give us a lesson in life, fear of the unknown as they were accustomed to the protection of a safe space, however they collapse their fear supported by his wife and Candy one of the girls seeks support and faces the new challenge and there she becomes the leader of the group since the others follow her, Candy is very important for them since they are used to their presence and the guides to undertake their new journey, here they show us that when there is union we achieve the goals no matter the race or the color. They are very beautiful, the plumage looks bright and the wings are very high, when my mother raised chickens if I saw them with wings a little low, said this chick is not going to save. Enjoy watching the video and Candy of adoptive mother. Extended greetings to his wife and I congratulate him for his excellent work at the farm in addition to videographer, he looks very sharp @brimax
Whe received these chickens as day old birds. One of the first things we do is dip their beaks in water so they know where to get a drink and we also provide them with a heating device to keep them warm. These two things can help ensure that we don't lose any before they have a chance to grow!
Brimax thank you very much for your quotation, I already copy it in my book of tips, and I will share it with many people who live nearby and since they are rural areas, they raise chickens. grateful for the information @brimax
If friend @brimax these chickens are very big you can see them in a good color they will surely feel better soon they will take care of them very well the important thing is that they feel warm and comfortable
I think Candy loves them very much and also enjoys watching them she does a great job you say Candy is a big help greetings to Candy and @anise
They definitely are getting bigger and their color is coming in as their feathers grow!
You could just tell what they were thinking when Candy walked in, "Oh, hey Candy. Look everyone, Candy's here. Common let's see what this new place is like."
It's like you were there Brother!
We went for a hike yesterday and happened upon an excellent find which may not be found in your neck of the woods. It might become next weeks video, if not I'll elaborate a little more.
As always, thank you!

Gracias por su apoyo. Usted es realmente apreciado
It's really good to give wide open places to dogs. Watching them playing happy makes me feel relaxed.
Certainly happy to have contributed to your relaxation, enjoy!
