Rubber troubles......

in #homesteading6 years ago

Homestead living presents all sorts of challenges, and often they come up when you least expect them.
We burn wood for heat in the winter as it is currently the most cost effective.

We keep most of it stacked outside and bring it in as needed. This is what we use to bring it in:

Today while bringing wood in, one of the aforementioned challenges presented itself. I noticed the cart was not moving in the usual way and was surprised to find this:

The tire had ripped and the tube pushed its way through causing the cart to roll funny.
I have ordered a replacement and thus begins the long list of spring chores upon us now.

Speaking of which, this weeks video will outline some of what's in store for us over the next few weeks!

Buena idea para transportar la madera

It's the cheapest way to heat here in the winter.

aquí en mi país, esos cauchos cuestan una fortuna.

They are expensive here as well, almost $40!

it's interesting
the difference is that in my country a worker only earns 6 dollars a month.

Yes, you read well.

6 dollars for a month of work. thanks to the communist thieves who have kidnapped us here in Venezuela.

Usually the wheels tend to be strong, do not you know how it happened? but it is like everything there are always stones in the road nothing is perfect the important thing is to replace the wheel and move on clear this will take, work, money and time but little by little it is going to solve everything

As I mentioned to @alejo1996, it must have been a rock or something that punctured it.

Hello, that's the way I think wood is cheaper, even here in my country, the coal is very cheap, although there are no winters here, we use wood for the grills, if it was enough for the rim, the important thing is that you realized that it was not rolling equal and hands to work to solve it.

Regards @brimax

We are always solving problems!

Hello Friend how are you If that was enough of the wheel, there are always challenges but the important thing is to overcome those challenges and move forward, I hope that video to see what we are going to learn for this coming week I send you many greetings and I thank you for your support!

I am just preparing our weekly video to post tomorrow.....it will cover a few more challenges we have to push through!

Hello greetings brother @brimax. I love the idea of burning the wood to warm up in the winter, because in this way you are contributing to the environment of not throwing away the wood, you recycle it and use it for your own benefits. It would also be good for this wood to be created as rocket stove species with wood, so that in this way it can be cooked outdoors and at the same time wood that is unused is reused. Here in the country wood is used to burn it and make wood soups and meat grills. I'm surprised that the rim is torn and that the tube is open because normally these trucks with very resistant and support a lot of weight, but I'm glad that allas ordered the replacement to continue with your wonderful work.

It may have been punctured by a rock or something. No worries, the replace will be here soon!

If brother maybe that was it, I'm glad that the replacement will arrive soon, so that you can continue with your wonderful work in which you use the cart.

Friend @brimax its good idea transport

ah yes, the joys of home ownership and "life in general" xo
