I took this video to demonstrate how a noob clips wings for the first time.

Hopefully, it is educational to those of you who never have done this before.

Don't be intimidated by it! It really is rather easy.

The biggest piece of advice: Get large and sharp shears.

Don't try to use small scissors. Some of those feathers can be tough!

At the very least wear a steemit shirt. :D

Yay! I was the second person to vote on this post!!!! What do I win?

You're also the first comment, but you forgot to crow, "FIRST!!!"

You turned your duck into Mark Davis.

It was once observed by a @mobile-joat that the average duck is smarter than you may think. Infact I seen a great deal of ducks fly with their wings clipped! That is until I got half of their tail thus thowing there balance and grounded them for good.... Or until they grew back. Also you can clip one wing at the 1st joint from the end completely off and again it will offset it's balance and ground it. Maybe an interest to you maybe not. But you did pretty good for winging it... Lol! Great post!

Ah yes, the joys, trials and tribulations of wing cutting are quite familiar to us here on our homestead...although our wings are on chickens, not ducks, but the same method is used for both and you are totally right, use a big, sharp pair of shears and it's much easier. :D
Great post, thank you for sharing. Have an awesome day! :D
