Hi steemians! Here is my first homemade bread loaf (it was delicious),good taste and texture.😊And if you want to try in your home too, here is the recipe to make this bread loaf.

Ingredients🍞

✔3 cups unbleached all purpose flour
✔2.5 cups whole grain all purpose flour

  • Or 5.5 all purpose any flour except whole grain* any more than the 2.5 and bread will not rise with this recipe.... I tried 😞)
    ✔1/4 cup pure cane sugar
    ✔2 cups warm water
✔1 package or 2.5 tsp active yeast
    ✔1/4 cup unsalted butter
    ✔1 tsp kosher salt
    ✔1 egg white
  • optional-
    Sesame Seeds

Here is how to cook🍞

🔥 Heat oven to lowest temp setting (mine is 170)
-🔥 In a small mixing combine warm water yeast and sugar (stir sugar into water first so it dissolves I find makes it easier to incorporate later) and set aside to let yeast become foamy
-🔥 Melt butter in microwave or over low heat

  • 🔥Turn oven off but leave door closed (we want the warmth to rise or dough)
  • 🔥Combine flour, and salt in stand mixer with paddle attachment on a low setting
-🔥 Add butter and yeast mixture to dry ingredients and allow to mix ONLY until ingredients are combined
  • 🔥Switch to dough hook and turn mixer to a medium speed until dough ball forms (about 7 mins)
  • 🔥Oil a large bowl (glass or metal since it will be sitting in a warm oven) and turn dough out into it
-🔥 Cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap
  • 🔥Sit in warm oven for about 45 mins or until double in size
  • 🔥Cut in two halves of using 8x4 loaf pans or leave whole if yours is a 13x4 as mine is
  • 🔥Oil your pan(s) and turn dough into them (this is a no kneed recipe)
  • 🔥Press gently to shape and cover with towel or plastic wrap and put into warm oven for another 30-45 mins until risen to top of pan(s)
  • 🔥Remove covering and beat one egg white until foamy in a small bowl
  • 🔥Preheat oven to 375
  • 🔥Score bread and brush with egg white (it won’t get that beautiful color and top without it)
  • 🔥Top with sesame seeds (rolled oats or flax seed would also be nice or all 3 😁)
-🔥 Bake for 25-30 mins until golden on top

Best kept in the refrigerator as there are no preservatives in this recipe and it keeps it soft for longer mine doesn’t last longer than a few days but it should keep 7-10 days in the fridge or a month if frozen
Happy homesteading steemians!😊

Looks like you used a Pullman loaf pan! I have one and love the larger loaves of bread I can get from them.

I've sprinkled sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top of my homemade breads, but never once thought to use flax seeds; interesting!

It only my experiment for my homemade loaf but taste good if you used that mam.😊 happy homesteading.😊

Well done. When my wife was a stay-at-home mom and our kids were small we lived on her homemade bread. I rarely get it now. Nothing better on the planet!

Yours looks great. Congrats!

Thanks for dropping.😊 enjoy !
