Cinder Block Bench DIY Project

There couldn't be a more easier family build project than this DIY Cinder Block Bench!!

My wife wanted a permanent place to sit in front of our camp fire at our 7 acre property that we are building into our future homestead. She told me what she wanted, and we quickly were able to put it all together!!

The Build

This was the easiest project we have done on our property!

It consists of 14 cinder blocks, 6 4x4s

• We used landscape timbers because they were cheaper... but that was a bad idea because they are not big enough and are not comfortable.

We first laid out all of our materials and leveled the ground.

Then we did a quick test setup to make sure the two sides were the correct distance apart.

Then we used liquid nails to bind them all together and started sliding in the timbers.

When concentration is needed you must stick out your tongue.

Super easy project, right?! And now we have a permanent sitting area by the fire!

Cool bench and quick to do! How is it comfort wise?

Well, that is why I shouldn't have cheaper out. You really need to use 4x4s. That'll make it much more comfortable for sure!

But it's easy to just slide those in, and we'll use the landscape timbers for something on the farm.

Thanks for the comment!!

Thanks for the DIY! Looks like the boards are too far apart to sit on, might just be the pictures though!

Correct, the landscape timbers were a bad idea. 4x4s will make it so much more comfortable. 😀👍🏻
