Did you ever made your own Pepper Flavoured Salt??
I will show you in a few steps how to do !
This is my way to make my Herbs and Vegetables useable into the Winter , to get a nice flavoured Food in that times…
Homemade chili vegetable salt
1 onion
2 carrots (yellow and orange)
3 cloves of garlic
some peppers
It doesnt matter which you choose, feel free to use this HOT you want it at it end..
But how much you need... ill start to place all my stuff on the Table to see how much i have from everything...
Ill try to get as much peppers as much Herbs or Vegetables i have...
You can see one try on my Pic right here
You can see on the right side i choosed some SWEET PEPPERS to have a fill up ...
At first you have to brush the Carrots, and cut em also cut the onions, smash the garlic take the seeds out of the Peppers...
now take the weight of your MIX...
This one i mixed in a 1:3 to Salt... But lets go to the next step...
I blend all the Vegetables to a mousse... then i open the Blender and place the Salt into it... Crush it for a sshort time again, as long it needs to get the salt coloured...
Then i place the Crushed Salt on a plate like in my next Picture
The Important step now is coming...
TAKE TIME....
Some do this combo into the oven to get it on a fast dry, but you will loose the power and the flavour of it... So take time and let it airdrying ... every 2-3 days i go there and turn the Mixture around and replace it on the plate again... as long it is dry... when its dry i place it into small flasks to hold it for my self or gave away as a gift....
Looks delicious! I am going to try this. Thank you for this great recipe.
What an innovative idea. I've never come across flavoured salts before. Will be giving this a try.
