My fail with bees

in #homesteading7 years ago

A few months ago I wrote that I decided to start beekeeping. I've Fixed the bee trap, prepared a beehive, frames and I was lucky. Bees was interested in my trap and a small bees family settled in it.

It all started well, but the unexpected happened. A hornet climbed into the hive.

I did not immediately notice it, but when I noticed it was too late. The hornet destroyed all the bees and arranged its nest in a trap.

I killed the hornet, feed its larvaes to the hens, but there is little point in this. The bees died because of me. I forgot to cover the notch of the trap and happened what happened.

So this year my beekeeping project was completed before it began.

That's so sad! My husband is a beekeeper too, and he has lost several hives because of hornets. I hope you will try again!

Yes, it's sad. I didn't expect such a result. But nothing to do, I have to start over again.
