Spring Thaw but Snow Coming
We finally have melted off most of the snow. The frost is mostly out of the ground so the water is soacking into the soil.
We woke up this morning to a winter storm watch. Looks like we will get another 4 to 6 inches of snow.
So My wife and I decided to clean oversees and spread manure in 2 of the 1/4 acre sections today.
We also burned of a few branches.
We over seeded with buckwheat, cowpeas, radishes, and a little lettuce for giggles.
We have the electric fence up to keep the animals out of theses plots so we can rotate the grazing.
In a month or so the cows go to pasture and we will just be grazing the horse.
Stay tuned for this years garden plan coming soon.
We had our snow storm here in Kentucky yesterday. I cannot wait for spring. Have you had any luck with overseeing radishes?
First time trying. The game and fish has been sowing radish and rudebega in there feed plots and I’ve read it’s good for airiating the soil
