Wow, I can't believe your lawn is actually greener after that last bout of heat, but the garden is looking really good and that corner will be lush green before you know it.
Yeah it's doing well considering we had that heat wave, I just water it late in the evening. That back corner is where I have scraped the top layer of soil and caltrop off, but I'm going to cover most of that with wood chips anyway which will look nice :)
It looks like it will be a cosy little corner by the time you're finished. I'm lucky to get a good fall of leaves in autumn that I use for mulch but wood chips do look much better.
Yeah will provide some nice shade for the house in summer time too.
Eventuallt I will have plenty of mulch, but for now got to buy or find free stuff which is not easy
