Real Things I've Seen Challenge by @slhomestead - My Entry
So a few weeks ago, @slhomestead started an awesome and inspirational challenge. They wanted us to take extra notice of the things around us and record it in a journal entry to share with Steemit. I took the challenge to heart and started my own Homesteading and Gardening Journal! It has been two weeks and I haven't gotten tired of writing in it daily, doodling and recording the days events, observations, egg count, weather, and other things of interest I might want to look back at.
Here are a couple of this week's entries into my journal!
After the weather clears and we get a sunny day again, I'll take more photos of my journal entries to share.
I have really enjoyed this challenge. It got me to writing and drawing again. I already like looking back at things like our egg count (I'm keeping a monthly tally). Plus it will help me keep track of when things are done around the homestead, like vaccinations and deworming.
Thanks for checking out my entry. Have a good one!
i really like your posts, keep up the good work :)
I love this! Its on my list to start a journal for spring. I am not much good at drawing but still love the idea so much!
Thanks, @walkerland! I hope you share your future journal with us. I think they'll make great heirlooms when we're old and gray. Haha!
Oh, I LOVE it! Merging the observations with the song lyrics and daily to-dos is absolutely delightful to see. Is Pidgeon the name of one of the chickens? I had a friend growing up who named her chickens Turkey and Duck, just...because haha.
Thanks so much for taking up the challenge! I hope it continues to bring a little bit of joy to every day. :) :)
Thank you! Your nature journal really inspired me. :)
Pigeon is named that because she looks like a grey pigeon to me! Her sister, Lady, has gray as well, but is mostly white. I've never seen a chicken quite like our Pigeon. Here's a photo of her!
Thanks for stopping by, @slhomestead! Hope you're having a good one!
Woooo! I used to journal the SHIT out of stuff!! Hahah Love your doodles, especially of the chicken. :D
I love this! I was thinking about doing a gardening blog. I have been sharing some of my garden pictures, but I think I would like to tell more about it...like a journal.
That's super cool, hon! I didn't know you could draw like that! It's cute!
