MAIL CALL... Linden Blossoms & More
Well yesterday was a day of VEHIICULAR shenanigans and then today steemit has been giving me hassles worse than a teenage PMSing girl... so I took a break and headed to the mailbox. It's been...ummm about... well, I retrieved the mail Monday I think. So it was time. I bundled up, got the dog her leash and off we went. Trekking the 1/4 mile walk to what I like to refer to now as my goodie box.
Oh... the vehicular problems... well, first I was going to go do some errands and the old putter car; which I drive since I never leave the homestead decided to have heater blower issues and before I got to the main road (about a half mile down the way) the temperature went from 75-degrees up to 170-degrees in about one minute. Nope, not good. So now it sits. I glare at it occasionally.
The other issue came when last night, after Mr Golden D came home from work, I took the new car to do my errands and realized this morning that the car starter FOB was gone. Missing. MIA. Oh crap!
I just shouldn't be driving... I vow to be a homebody forever.
Well I THINK found the FOB. Someone turned one in to the store I was at and I called to see if a Good Samaritan was about. Luckily it is. But the store manager won't let me just walk in and take it... nope... I have to have the correct car and make sure it starts the correct car. SIGH another evening road trip out for me tonight. SO not happy!
But now, back to the Goodie Box Surprises!

First up...
A little while ago @warpedweaver had made a post about her Market Friday visit to a small town store and I commented about a particular item I saw she had photographed.
...and look what she sent to me!

Next up... last week I had written a post about the linden tree and how all parts of it are edible and @sagescrub saw the post and commented. Later that day he sent me message saying he had some in bloom out where he lives in Oregon. AND said he was going to send me some! WHAT! Really! OMGosh!
WELL! The blossoms are here!
A whole GALLON size bagful of Linden Tree blossoms! The excitement is building thinking of all the wonderful things I can make now; not having to wait for the tree to blossom here, or for me to attempt to find the trees in my area.
So now I can dehydrate some and add to my tea herbal stash and make a linden blossom tincture.

@goldendawne...I have to tell you, I agree Steemit is making me crazy today...can't get anything done!!! But anyway, you poor thing, cars, can't life with them or without them. I hope you get that all sorted out! So how do you like the linden blossoms....do they smell dreamy? I know I thought so walking by the trees in bloom. Enjoy! Love your post!
Well, we got the car starter back... the old car is still sitting in the driveway- glaring at me and vice versa- lol

Yes, it took us hours and hours yesterday to get through all the odd reasons we kept getting on why we could not post, upvote, etc.
A whole gallon of linden! Wow! What a nice thing to find in the mail. And I adore sea salt/caramel! That will be really good, I bet!
