I agree that frequent (but perhaps not too frequent on the spammy side) marketing is important for success. Thank you for confirming this with your own business experience.

'Spammy' is just a hallmark of low creativity. The vendors putting themselves and their story "out there" is mostly enough... consistently... people will go looking for their products eventually. Talk & post about lifestyle & problem solving. Old style ideas about spamming people every other day are just that... old. But same goes for too many newsletters, too many competitions etc etc 😉 People turn off. Diversity & value in all our communications is paramount. 🌱
