Solar Panel is Topside!
Finally managed to put the small solar panel on the roof!
I'm using this chain as a sort of anchor. This setup is meant to be portable.
I bent a hook into this mechanics wire, and extended it out the window to grab the power wire. Here, I have coiled it back up already.
I soldered three lengths of wire together, that I salvaged from old lamps and a fan. Then, I soldered these to the wire coming off the panel.
When I say zero budget, I mean exactly that. Right now, I don't even have money for tape! I used the last little bits I had left, on two different rolls, to tape up all the connections.
Had just enough!
I tested the joule thief today. It ran about 5 or 6 hours on a 9 volt battery :)
I found and cleaned another battery terminal. It is all in place, all but setup. It is begining to snow, and I'm tired, so I'm calling it a day!
