Cabin progress.

in #homestead6 years ago

Its been a hot few days in the sun working on the cabin, lots of breaks and tons of water necessary!
We have been working early mornings, relaxing during the hottest time in the afternoon and working again in the evenings when it cools off a bit.

Taking down the roof beams.

After we got the roof beams down we dug out the wall posts and some 2x6’s to make the supports.

Yes, this will be the one with 8ft walls.

This post has been featured in the @offgrid-online Weekly Curation #5. Thank you for sharing the progress on your cabin. Looks like an A-frame - Nice :)

Mine were doing that, sideways.
From what I figure is if you start with your photos in landscape that’s the format you have to stick with. It won’t switch between landscaping portrait anymore.
I used a photo editor to trick the system.

Damn those corner brackets look good! You guys have some cool tools!

Thanks.
Jay has quite the collection of tools to do all kinds of jobs. :)
