RE: Why homeschooling is better for your kids
I was homeschooled for two years and those were the best two years of my compulsory education.
Our parents were very conscious so even without school, we were still very involved in groups of other kids through after-school activities.
I am also aware that homeschooling is not for everyone. Some children need more strict rules and do not take well when they are excluded from the collective by being different.
When I told someone that me and one more sibling were homeschooled, the typical follow-up question would be: Why? Was there something... wrong with you so you were not able to attend normal school?
I think that homeschooling is the best, it was for me at least, but it still carries stigma that is not handled well by the majority.
