Investing in our Children!
I really love what sewing class is doing for my daughter. It has unlocked some creativity she didn’t even realize she had. She’s coming up with all kinds of design, upcycle and fashion ideas! I can say I am one proud mother!
This week we were doing some Spring cleaning and sorting out our closets. She came across an old pair of gloves and asked if she can redesign them. I gave her the go and this is what she did.
She told me she loves the fingerless gloves I crocheted and wanted to make her own. She got out the scissors and a minute later she had her own pair! 😄😁 Gotta love it! Instead of her tossing them out she is now wearing them daily for fashion. ☺️ Upcycle in a nutshell!
It’s amazing how spending quality time and investing in our kids can make huge impacts. There have been many of times I didn’t feel like going to sewing class and wanted to stay home but my daughter is what keeps me going. Seeing her fire and passion about making her own things inspires me to push on and get us to class. This little sweetie is inspiring her mother and it blesses my heart. I am so thankful my husband and I have the opportunity to invest in our children now at a young age. Who knows what they will blossom into. 😊

This is precious, how creative she is! You will find these surprises never end. My daughter is a mom now, they were just here visiting and as I watch her with her baby I see myself in her, she mothers much like I did. You are so correct, invest the time wisely because once it's gone, you can't get it back. Keep up those sewing classes, you won't be sorry! :)

That’s cool, I just hate my fingers covered, probably crazy just wearing fingerless in the depth of winter but that’s what I do LOL

Lol! At first I didn’t until my husband came along. He wears light jackets in the winter and won’t wear gloves at all. I’ve grown to accept and understand everyone just has their own preferences (whether crazy or not 😄)!
I used to be the same, one jacket would last me all year round, now and I guess its a sign of age I feel the cold and layer up all except for gloves LOL
And for sure i am crazy in many ways not just gloves or lack of lOL
I’m sure my husband will experience that too.
