Texas Boys First Time Going LIVE from the Homestead!

We had so much fun doing this live steam last night! We were doing it at a coffee shop but now we can do it at the homestead! Last night we discussed the topic of vacations and "staycations" while homesteading. It seems like over the past 100 years this idea of "vacationing" has become not only a social norm but an expectation that if not met family's feel as though they are missing out on the "good life". We VERY much used to be one of those "social norm" families but since settling into this homestead lifestyle our desire to travel has subsided. We now have a new peace and contentment to just stay home that we have never experienced before. We are NOT saying that there aren't beautiful places that we would like to see. Not at all, but rather, we have lost the NEED to HAVE to go and do as well as the social expectation. If you are not living on a homestead yet, then by all means GO, take a break, get away with your family! Trust me...you need that time! However, if you are like us and have embraced your new lifestyle on the homestead then dive on in like we did and enjoy your new freedom that comes from a more natural way of life.
