Around here, grocery store carts or shopping carts are mobile homes for the homeless.
Just because you're homeless, it shouldn't keep you from living the dream of being burdened by stuff.
I'm of the opinion that stuff owns us and keeps us from living a life of freedom.
The homeless have an opportunity to live more free, but most around here wish to be burdened down with stuff.

I know this isn't exactly the same, but I;m reminded of the story of a guy who cycled across the US with absolutely no luggage. Just a credit card in his pocket. Apart from the bit about having to ride the ruddy bike, that sounds very freeing too.
