Still plugging away at the Siding Project! Check out the 'Before and After'!
Last weekend we managed to get the second-longest side of the house complete!
The two longest sides are almost 50ft long each.
I have to say, putting up siding is the easy part! It's the prep work that is difficult and time-consuming. Still not as hard as putting on the metal roofing though!
We probably won't get to work on siding this weekend, since my husband works half of today. This afternoon we are supposed to have a doozy of a storm; not exactly good conditions for putting up siding. Besides that, we have a new pool ready to be put up! Sunday will probably be spent working on that.
We need some way to cool off on those hot summer days! It's been hot enough to swim down here already, and everyone is looking forward to it!
It takes us about a day to rip off all the old siding. Then another day to put up house-wrap, flashing and trim.
Gotta do the job right!
Here is that side, all ready for siding!

Yeah, I know, the areas is a mess. It is a messy job!
And a new water spigot! The old one needed replacing; it snapped right off!

We finally got it done though! The actual sticking up of siding only took about half a day.
Here is a 'before and after' picture. I have to admit, I find it very satisfying to look at, haha!
And... cue the trumpets! AFTER siding and roof!

Now, being that the house is "L" shaped, we still have 4 walls to go, but they are all around 25ft long, so Im hoping the rest of the house goes quicker. Really looking forward to the finished product!
Thanks for checking out our project's progress!!!
Have a wonderful weekend! ♥

Wow! That's a wonderful job. I love it. We have metal roofing and I just love how it sounds when the rain falls. :)
Thanks!! Those pictures represent a lot of hard work! :D
We love ours too, and looking forward to it lasting years and years. ♥
Nice job, little by little things get done.
Thanks! Slowly but surely....
You two certainly have been busy! It's true that the prep work often takes longer than the actual project. Painting seems to be that way, too.
Very true! :D
metal roof...good plan.
Thanks! It was a heck of a job though. Just my husband and myself doing it all.
After that, this siding job is a piece of cake. ;)
