That's why I hate visiting my parents house!

Since few years I am living in UK far away from my family but sometimes I need to go back home to visit them.

This is a normal thing I suppose but the bad part is when they say "I see you skinny are you sure are you eating well??".

This is just the beginning of a cataclysm!

The day you arrive you have to prepare yourself for a 5-6 courses meal where the first thing for an Italian family is PASTA but only after starters with cheese and salami, then you have meat and salad, fruit (because is important) then dessert that depending if is summer or the rest of the year could be an ice-cream or a normal cake.

Ok ok now you are asking me what's wrong with it??? I would like to say nothing but try to eat it for 7 - 10 days and then you will understand!!!

So here we are... first, second, third...  when I will come back to England the hostess will ask me if do I need 2 seats. O.o

So really I am happy to visit my parents but please let them understand that I don't want double my size every time I see them.

Following I will propose you some dishes I had to eat during my permanency...

1- The first night my friends forget where I am coming from and they bring me in a pub where were serving hamburger...

2-  My city is famous for eat raw fish and raw sea fruits... this dish is called Allievi and with a bit of lemon are so good...

3- this dish doesn't need any presentation...

4-Orecchiette hand made with tomato sauce and parmesan on the top...

5- Peperoni ripieni, big pepper with bread, capers etc etc inside! Super tasty.

Ok that I will feel fat once I come back home... but the time spent with my parents is priceless and I was very lucky that the weather was good and I could go to the beach and to watch my football team playing...
