Identity.

There was once a culture (many cultures actually) that spawned from abundance. There were offshoots of those abundance cultures that experienced scarcity. And when the few remaining from those scarcity cultures approached again the open armed welcoming abundance cultures, the few became the first colonizers. A few then from those then colonized and habituated into the socio-economic systems-of-scarcity cultures colonized other abundance cultures. And a few from those colonized by the colonized, colonized others.

And here we are today.

A mesh fest of the colonized and the colonizers. So complex in our identities. But the fact that so many feel the need to pick one over others or “return” to the original one as if they somehow lost it by way of the all-encompassing story that they have and can understand today speaks volumes of our mind’s current collective habituation towards separation.

Simply, we are and have been ALL of it; and the only "purity of identity" in my mind is whether or not we can either hold it all at once (ever increasingly so) or let go of all of it completely... i.e. doing whatever must be done to clear our minds of the attempt to find ourselves as some external “thing” and instead reclaim ourselves fully as the unique experience of this moment within the constant cultivation of our integral self’s home on, as, and by way of this precious precious planet.

Something like: can’t I simply be the process of nourishing my integral wellness? Because for the planet, the “other,” and the self - and the cultivation of home on every level therein - that really is enough.
