Holybread, is this the next great STEEM game?
After seeing a couple of posts about this game, I created a character last night and now can’t stop playing the darned thing!
Well, I don't know as yet, and am taking it as just a game so far, and not expecting this 'ROI' as most others expect.
Initially, it didn't look much like a game; you create a Hero that is either Mage, Archer or Warrior and then assign some stats using your initial gold.
Gold is earned via quests and can be used to up your stats or buy items from the Item Store.
Next, you start a Quest of which you can pick from THREE. Quests last 5, 10 or 15 minutes and once you click start a time counter counts down.
As I said, there's not much to these 'quests' except to wait.
But there is more. The Arena lets you fight another 'real person', the result being judged by the level and stats of the opponent.
It's all quite simple and requires little of your attention, thus the appeal to me.
I was never going to kick a Level 9's arse with my character but still tried!
Items can be bought from the Item Store and better items from the Market.
You need to click 'New items' initially for them to show up! After that, you need to pay in 'Bread' for a store refresh.
Earning Bread is not too hard, there are daily quests for that.
The Market ones require STEEM as your currency and utilise KeyChain for the transactions.
Items can be 'won' during your quests, just look out for the ones that have the 'Mystery Items'
I think this one will have an item, see the question mark.
I'm still new at all this, but it's keeping me intrigued.
Breadcrumbs are a token that can be traded on The Steem Engine and there's a buyback where holybread.io will trade your crumbs for STEEM, or so I have read somewhere.
Don't expect to get rich, and treat it as a game and not some money milking scheme. I have bought just one item so far from the marketplace.
There's more to it than I describe above and I for one am going to play now.

Depends on how many crumbs I've sold already. For me, it's in the millions.

As someone at (99) your getting over 1500 crumbs. Have they always traded at this low price?
I started selling them at 0.00003 STEEM.
I chose the girl mage because the guy mage is ugly.
I might just have to give it a whirl. I had ignored it so far but I trust your judgement!
Nothing to loose BoomMeister..., it currently takes little attention to 'play'.
If they can keep up all the attention I guess new features will be added later which may be more involved than what you currently need to do.
It reminds me (not in gameplay) of Drugwars, everyone joined and played. I hope they can learn from the mistakes of the past, and it becomes and other Splinterlands.
If it's less about milking and more paying them it can't be bad at all.
I delegated 100 STEEM to it, hope this becomes a decent game and not one of the many flops we have seen during the last year.

It's a promising sign that there are more games
It gets very interesting once you stay at top 20 since day one. Competition for those breadcrumbs is insane :) I managed to grab 1st place when the first payout happened with just a common hero. But you can now start to see the disconnect between hero rarities. Legendary and epic hero stats will win most of the time, and soon 2nd hero will be available, 2 epic or 2 legendary heroes will be very far ahead of the herd.
I saw you were up there in the top ranks, should have expected it!
How long have you been playing and is it still peaking your interest?
Since day 1. Never tried beta so I was new just like everyone else. It is still interesting yes, you can sell the items and breadcrumbs for Steem. Any item with 3 key stats for your hero is valuable. Today in cca 5h 2nd hero becomes available then things will get even more interesting, with 3rd hero expect the peak of interest.
I'll be watching the development, I see it's @thebluewin who's doing it. Looks good to me!

Exactly having fun with it so far, just got up to having my second hero slot open :)

Like you I have been seeing a lot of post about the game, so far all the post seem to be good. I am still thinking about it, I just do not want to play in another pay to win scheme game. But most post seem to be saying you do not need to really buy anything to still enjoy the game, so I am sure I will give it a shot soon.
