Read: Ezekiel 36: 24-32
I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be cleansed ... (v. 25).
When I opened the dishwasher, I wondered what had gone wrong. Instead of being clean and shiny, the dishes were covered with a limestone powder. I wondered if the calcareous water in our area would be ravaging, or if the machine had been damaged.
God's cleansing, unlike a broken dishwasher, washes away all our impurities. In the book of Ezekiel, we see that God calls his people to return to him when Ezekiel shares the Lord's message of love and forgiveness. The Israelites had sinned and proclaimed their loyalty to other gods and other nations. However, the Lord was merciful and welcomed them with open arms. He promised to cleanse them "from all [their] uncleanness; and of all [his] idols "(36:25). By putting their Spirit in them (verse 27), it would lead them to a condition of fruitfulness where they would not starve (v. 30).
As in the time of the prophet Ezekiel, today the Lord welcomes us with open arms if we go astray. When we submit our lives to His will and His ways, He transforms us and cleanses us from our sins. As His Holy Spirit dwells in us, He helps us to follow Him day by day. -
Lord, the feeling that you cleanse me and forgive me has no equal. Thank you for transforming me into a new person.
The Lord cleanses us.!

Esparciré sobre vosotros agua limpia, y seréis limpiados… (v. 25).
Cuando abrí el lavavajillas, me pregunté qué habría salido mal. En lugar de estar limpios y relucientes, los platos estaban cubiertos de un polvo calizo. Me pregunté si el agua calcárea de nuestra zona estaría haciendo estragos, o si la máquina se había dañado.
La limpieza de Dios, a diferencia de un lavaplatos averiado, lava todas nuestras impurezas. En el libro de Ezequiel, vemos que Dios llama a su pueblo a regresar a Él cuando Ezequiel comparte el mensaje de amor y perdón del Señor. Los israelitas habían pecado y proclamado su lealtad a otros dioses y otras naciones. Sin embargo, el Señor fue misericordioso y los recibió con los brazos abiertos. Prometió limpiarlos «de todas [sus] inmundicias; y de todos [sus] ídolos» (36:25). Al poner su Espíritu en ellos (v. 27), los llevaría a una condición de fecundidad donde no pasarían hambre (v. 30).
Al igual que en la época del profeta Ezequiel, hoy el Señor nos recibe con los brazos abiertos si nos extraviamos. Cuando sometemos nuestras vidas a su voluntad y sus caminos, Él nos transforma y nos limpia de nuestros pecados. Como su Espíritu Santo habita en nosotros, nos ayuda a seguirlo día a día. —
Señor, la sensación de que me limpies y me perdones no tiene igual. Gracias por transformarme en una nueva persona.
