Holiday place in turkey

Hi come back with me @ umartantawi, Today, I will introduce one of the most spectacular locations in Turkey that is Pamukkale. In Turkish, Pamukkale is literally translated into "Kapas Kapas" and that is because the natural terraces travertine rock formations look very much like castle walls except those made of cotton!

Pamukkale is located in Denizli Province about 120 miles east of the ancient city of Ephesus. From Selcuk, you have a number of options to travel to Pamukkale, you can take the train to Denizli or take one of the many coach services from the Selcuk bus station. My original intention was to take the train in the morning and arrive in the afternoon just in time to visit Pamukkale. However, I missed the first train and finally got on the coach.

You will be glad to hear that the coach service is actually great fun. I was very worried at first because the price seemed expensive (30-ish Turkish Lira) but it turned out the service was a close five-star experience!

The coach company I followed was named Pamukkale appropriately. The whole journey takes less than 3 hours and along the way, you are served ice cream, soft drinks and even snacks! I would have been very impressed with the level of coach service offered here and definitely recommend it if you are the type of traveler who likes the frequent departure schedules throughout the day.

Just like Ephesus, you have several entry points depending on the order of the objects you want to see.

It is south entrance which is a common starting point but will require a bit of walking (15-20minutes) to reach the travertines. Here, there is a large car park where coaches queue up and pick up passengers.

Around the parking lot, there are some really big stones and a neat man-made garden. It's almost like a preview of more spectacular things to come.
