Lanzarote...Recharge and Relaxation

Recently went to Lanzarote for some winter sun to escape the coldness of England. Oh what difference a bit of sun makes. Beautiful place with volcanic rocks by the beach gives it some character. Beautiful, vibrant scenery as you can see from my pictures. I explored Puerto del Carmen which has a beautiful harbour lined with huge yachts. Arrecife was great for shopping with boutique shops.

I think this place will now be my go to getaway place

Puerto del Carmen

Puerto del Carmen. This picture shows hundreds of love padlocks attached to chains near the beach. It is supposed to be a symbol of eternal love.

Our hotel was Barcelo Teguise in Costa Teguise which was fabulous. Outdoor gym for those who wish to burn off the excessive holiday calorie intake. There is also a pool that changes colour at night. The hotel is adults only with a huge jacuzzi either in the bedroom or on the balcony.

The hotel is right by the beachfront, perfect for that early morning or late night stroll. Plenty of restaurants and snack bars to choose from so you will never be hungry.
