What is a comic market?

in #hobby6 years ago (edited)

Comic Market (Comic Market) is hosted by the "Comic Market Preparation Committee", the largest in Japan, that is, the world's largest doujinshi sale. Common comic, or comiket.

Although it is likely to be misunderstood because the degree of recognition is different from other spot sales associations, "comic" is a "comic market", that is, "abbreviation of individual name of this event" It is not a comprehensive term to say. One of the many spot sale (and the biggest event) is Comiket.

Overview

Currently it is held twice a year in summer and winter, summer in August every year (around the tray) and winter in December (year end).

The period is currently three days in principle.

The one to be held in August is "summer comic", the one to be held in December is called "winter comic". It was once held in March and was called "Spring comic" (now the name "Spring comic" is used by "comic city"). The first meeting held in December 1975, with a history of more than 40 years, as of August 2016, the number of times of holding is 90 times only by holding regularly.

We have borrowed the east and west halls of the Tokyo International Exhibition Center for 4 days including the setting day, the number of circle participants is 35,000 spaces and the number of general participants is about 50 to 600,000 people. Young and old, all over the country, regardless of nationality, and from all over the world.

Below, I will describe the XX comics market as "comic market XX", "CXX", etc.

For example, "74th comic market" is written as "comic market 74" "C 74".

Also, regarding the Tokyo International Exhibition Hall ("Tokyo Big Sight") which is the current place, we sometimes abbreviate "Tokyo" in the context and simply mention "Big Site".
