Caskets with embroidery to store jewelry. Tissue cardboard
I continue to show my needlework in different techniques. In previous posts, I showed the hare of Tild and the rabbits Meileg. And today I will tell you about my first experience in fabric cardboard.
I stared at this technique for a long time. And just as long ago I wanted to try embroidery on the fabric of a uniform weave. These two ideas were combined in jewelry boxes, which I made as a present.
Caskets are made on the principle of a book-box. A large sheet of binding cardboard (3mm), a pair of sheets of a paper, half a meter of linen cloth of natural color "AYNA" from IKEA, a little pink and blue flax from my vast stocks, and a couple of tons of instant-crystal and PVA glue)
For embroidery we used a uniform weave (ZWEIGART Belfast Petit Point 32 ct 100% linen, color No. 5379), threads DMC.
The plot for embroidery found on the open spaces VC. In the original, they were cushions. But the motive approached me in size and fell to my taste.
That's how the boxes look from the inside:
For additional decoration used metal elements - decorative keyholes and key-charms
The size of each box is 24x24x10 cm. Embroidered fragments of 16x16 cm.
The experience was useful and interesting. I'm sure this is not my last work in the fabric cardboard, and a couple of sheets of cardboard is already waiting for its time)))
As you understand, I have something else to show, so, subscribe. It will be beautiful and interesting)))
