Custom Sport Figurine-Old School WR
I finished these two custom figurines back in July 2017 but they person who ordered gave one to their dad/fatherinlaw for Christmas and one for his birthday on January 25. This gentleman played for the Great Falls High Bison in the late 1960s and for the Western Montana Bulldogs in the early 1970s. The trick with old school customs is finding an action figure from that era, which there are a few. The customer and myself picked out two poses that I thought would work.
This wide receiver pose, was selected for the Western Montana piece. I modified it a bit based on the pictures I was provided.
and this was the result.
.
For the high school piece, I had a couple more pictures but not many to go on.
This was the pose we decided on which required using parts from several different action figures.
doing some scuplting and arm swaps, this was the final result.
and the happy receipient of the two figures is shown here. this is actually my favorite part, seeing people with their custom figures. I like to do high school and college and other personal pieces, so people really appreciate the work.
I this post generates some interest in my hobby but i realize it is a bit obscure so am just pleased to post it. I have a lot more pictures posted at Facebook if you are really interested, check out this link. https://www.facebook.com/BigSkyCustoms/
I look forward to hearing any comments. Thanks for your time.
